Certified English–Spanish Translator and Interpreter authorized in Colombia under Acta No. 287 of 2026. The Acta is her Colombian professional authorization.

Member of ANATI-O (Asociación Nacional de Traductores e Intérpretes Oficiales).

Education and practice

Mariana studied English, French, and Spanish translation at Universidad de Antioquia and graduated in August 2025. Her experience includes work in a Texas criminal-defense practice, where she translated case files and interpreted attorney–client communications.

She created Semántico to give English–Spanish assignments a clear scope, contextual analysis, and an identifiable professional who can explain and assume responsibility for the work.

Semántico is an agency led by Mariana Porras. She currently handles the signature, seal, and certification of official English–Spanish translations directly.

She personally reviews scope, confirms whether an official certification is appropriate, and signs only work for which she can assume full professional responsibility.
